LIFECYCLE EVENTS & CEMETERY
At UOS we offer assistance for B'rit Milah and baby naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Weddings, Hospital visits,Bereavement services and Yahrzeits. We also maintain 3 cemeteries, Adath Emeth, Adath Israel and Beth Jacob. Learn more about our lifecycle events here, and our cemeteries here.

HALACHIC COMMUNITY STANDARDS
UOS is a judgement-free synagogue and recognizes observing halachic standards or how to observe those standards is a personal decision. Our traditional standards are derived from a guide created by Rabbi Asher Lopatin and reviewed and updated by Rabbi Sprung. MIKVAH & TEVILAH
As one of just a few Mikvahs in the Houston area, UOS welcomes you to visit for whatever you may need! All immersions are by appointment only, which can be scheduled by contacting the shul office. For any questions surrounding the Mikvah, our Dirctor of Mikvah, Alisha Klapholtz, and Educator and Halachic Consultant, Ruthie Shulman, will have the answers!
