BAR/BAT MITZVAH
Celebrating your child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah is one of the most important religious milestones in your family's life. At UOS, we include your entire family in special programming designed to make your child's Bar/Bat Mitzvah a learning experience for all. Rabbi Sprung can suggest wonderful tutors to train your child(ren) and make the event very meaningful.

HOSPITAL VISITS AND BEREAVEMENT SERVICES
During difficult times and times of need, such as illness or bereavement, our Rabbi is always available to provide comfort, support and spiritual guidance to our members. Members who are hospitalized or convalescing at home are never alone in the UOS community; and a care calendar is available to make their life a little easier.
Our Rabbi conducts funeral services, shiva services and unveilings with dignity and the utmost concern for our synagogue families.

YAHRZEITS
Yahrzeits are a time to remember and pay tribute to our departed loved ones. To commemorate a yahrzeit, members are offered aliyot and a range of dedication opportunities. A Book of Remembrance is printed each year for Yom Kippur, with a listing of departed members - please contact the office for more information.
