Rabbi
Joseph Ruben Radinsky was the rabbi
of the United Orthodox Synagogues of Houston, Texas from 1976 through 2003
and is now Rabbi Emeritus. He is married to Juliette. They have three children
and eleven grandchildren.
During his 27 year tenure, Rabbi Radinsky was the Chairman of the Houston Kashruth
Association, Chairman of Houston Chevra Kadisha and the Chairman of the Rabbinic
Cabinet of the Houston Israel Bonds. He was a member of the Executive Board of
the Rabbinical Council of America and was a member of the UJA Rabbinic Cabinet.
He has been President of the Kallah of Texas Rabbis, President of the Houston
Rabbinic Association, and Chairman of the Mayor's Commission on Human Relations
in Lafayette, Indiana.
Rabbi Radinsky received his education at Yeshiva University, the University of
Washington, where he received an M.A. in English, Harvard University, where he
received an M.A. in Comparative Literature, and Hebrew Theological College, where
he received Smicha.
