Our Mission Statement:
The United Orthodox Synagogues Sisterhood is a women’s organization committed to Torah values within modern dedicated to society, enriching the lives of our members, supporting and inspiring our synagogue and the broader Jewish community. We promote fellowship, ongoing spiritual growth, celebration of meaningful Jewish events, chesed and continued skilled leadership.
In our recent past, Sisterhood has provided major financial support for the UOS kitchens and their equipment, mikvah repair and enhancement, UOS’s beautiful landscaping, sprinkler systems and tree lighting, Freedman Hall Lobby furniture and décor, and the scholars in residence program. Just recently we framed and installed the beautiful parochet, which was handmade by one of our Life members and is now on permanent display in the lobby.
We advertise our programs and events in the Sisterhood weekly e-mail announcements and the weekly synagogue Shabbat announcements as well as the bi-monthly Synagogue bulletin. Hopefully you will take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities and join us in being a part of the UOS Sisterhood family! New UOS members receive one free year of membership with Sisterhood.
Annual membership is $25 or you can choose to make a commitment to become a Sisterhood Life member.
Life memberships are $250 and may be divided into five equal installments.
