Shabbat Programs

Programs for Pre-K to 5th grade:

For children grades Pre-K to 5th grade, we offer various groups where they learn to daven, discover the special meaning and joy of Shabbat, study the Torah portion and celebrate the chagim. The children listen to stories, play educational Shabbat and holiday games and participate in other educational experiences and activities. Each program is followed by a snack-time kiddish.

These programs include: Tot Shabbat, Junior Congregation, Tefillah L'Banot, and Mishnayot.

Junior Congregation

Goals:

  • Develop basic understanding of structure\function of Shabbat Tefilla
  • Attain skills to lead Kehilla upon Bar Mitzva with appropriate nusach\niggunim
  • Attain level of comfort for praying in any shul, anytime
  • Take responsibility for the organization and implementation of Shabbat services
  • Empower to communicate with God within the confines of organized Tefilla
  • Constructive activity during shul hours

 

Programs for Teenagers:

Teen Minyan: in the Sachnowitz Chapel 

Snif: for Chevraya Aleph    

9th grade Peulah: in the Bnei Akiva Office

Teen Mincha: followed by Seudah Shlishit for Chevraya Bet
