SJE @ UOS stands for Supplementary Jewish Education at United Orthodox Synagogues. SJE is a unique Jewish educational experience where the opinions of the students are valued and open and honest discussion is realized.

SJE is a program of informal Jewish education led by Rabbi Barry Gelman. This program has been developed specifically for High School students who do not attend a Jewish High School (the program is open to all Jewish students) focusing on the most challenging and practical aspects of Jewish life. There are two parts to the SJE curriculum, Judaism Applied and College Survival Judaism. Each meeting will involve a thought provoking and practical lesson for the students.
