On behalf of United Orthodox Synagogues, welcome to our community!
United Orthodox Synagogues is a warm and inviting congregation situated in a
quiet neighborhood in southwest Houston. United Orthodox Synagogues was
founded almost 50 years ago when three synagogues merged. The oldest was
founded over 100 years ago. Although it is one of the largest orthodox
congregations in the southwest, it maintains a sense of family and
community.
United Orthodox Synagogues is large enough to offer the amenities one would
expect at a major synagogue including a mikvah, two social halls (the
largest of which can accommodate a seated affair of over 400 people), an
active youth program, and other services; yet at the same time is small
enough so that everyone feels as if they are part of a large family.
No one should feel uncomfortable within its doors. We are a modern orthodox
synagogue, closely affiliated with Yeshiva University and proudly Zionistic.
We offer varied programs for all ages.
